Dillon Cockrell, MD

I am a medical oncologist specializing in prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers. I care for patients with every stage of genitourinary cancer, from newly diagnosed disease to advanced and metastatic cancer, and have a particular interest in prostate cancer, muscle-invasive bladder cancer, kidney cancer, precision oncology, modern diagnostics, and clinical trials. I see patients at Duke Cancer Centers in Raleigh and Cary, where I work closely with urologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists to develop personalized treatment plans. My goal is to combine the latest evidence, innovative therapies, and compassionate care so patients can receive world-class cancer treatment close to home. Growing up in eastern North Carolina and living most of my adult life in the Triangle, I feel privileged to care for patients in the community that my family and I call home. I believe every patient deserves to understand their diagnosis, feel heard, and leave each visit with a clear plan and hope for the future. I also help lead clinical trials evaluating promising new therapies, allowing eligible patients to access innovative treatments without traveling outside Wake County.
