David W. Zaas, MD, MBA

I am a pulmonary and critical care physician who cares for patients with advanced lung diseases, including pulmonary fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, respiratory failure, and those being evaluated for or living after lung transplantation. Helping patients navigate complex diagnoses and life-changing health challenges has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

I chose this field because I am inspired by the resilience of patients and families facing serious illness. My goal is to provide expert care while taking the time to listen, answer questions, and build a treatment plan that reflects each patient's goals and values.

My own experiences as both a physician and a patient have given me a deep appreciation for the importance of compassion, communication, and human connection in healthcare. I believe medicine is at its best when patients feel heard, supported, and cared for as whole people, not just as diagnoses.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Aimee, and our two sons. Family, faith, and service continue to shape both my life and my approach to caring for others.
